Woke up early to train some clients. Happy to say they were satisfied with their workouts and will be coming back for more 😁. I’m about to start on my own exercises, I’m thinking Pilates… Mayb some free weights. No matter how many times you stop working out, it’s important that you keep trying to get back on it until you succeeded at doing it consistently. Your body needs it to achieve optimal health. It feels good, and your body will thank you for it. YOU ARE  WORTH IT. My progress pics over a little over 2 months. The one on the left is the before and the one on the right is after exercising consistently and eating clean including one month of going vegan. 
πŸ’š I’ll be honest, I don’t see a huge difference. Throughout this year and last year, I’ve been exercising consistently and easing myself away from animal based foods. When you do this, your body basically carves it’s ideal weight on its own.  And since I was already close to my ideal weight I didn’t expect to lose that much weight. My current fitness goal is just to get more toned, gain muscle, and tighten those abs. In this pic, I do see a bit of a difference on my belly. It’s not as rounded as it used to be. Like always, still a work in progress but working on myself nonetheless. It’s August 2nd and I completed the #30daysvegan challenge!! πŸŠπŸ‰ It was quite a challenge and their were times where I did give in to temptation I’m not going to lie. If I’m honest with myself about 95% of my diet these past 30 days was vegan, and that to me is a huge accomplishment. One thing is for sure though, in order to stick to this lifestyle you have to PLAN, so that way you don’t find yourself in situations where it’s difficult not to consume animal based foods. Throughout these past days I’ve learned that in order to thrive on a plant based diet, you must tap into your creativity. You have be adventurous with your meal choices. I tried to maintain a high raw diet so I made tons of smoothies, and I got pretty good at making them. Some of my favorite things to add to these are cantaloupe, papaya, spinach, kale, chia, and flaxseeds. 😊 For dinners I would have more cooked foods like beans ( my fave), lentils, stirfry, pasta, baked potatoes, rice, and vegan enchiladas (another one of my faves). 

How did I feel on this diet? Mostly great! I still worked out at least 6 hrs a week doing Pilates and weightlifting. There were a few days where I felt tired, but I’m assuming I was either detoxing or just not getting enough calories in for the day. That’s the thing about eating a plant-based diet, you have to learn to be comfortable with large quantities of food. Most of the calories on this diet come from fruit so basically you have to stock up on fruits and eat your weight in fruits.some people may think that vegan restrict themselves too much, but I personally didn’t find anything restrictive about eating all delicious fruits and veggies to your hearts content all day, everyday.  

Some people may thi a vegan diet can’t possibly be healthy; however, from my research I don’t think there’s anything wrong with it. You can consume ALL your nutrients and calories from plants. Yes folks, you can get all your protein needs met by eating a vegan diet. 

As far as the benefits of this diet go, I would have to write a book on it, but just to name a few: glowing skin, lots of energy, weight loss (if u need it), and so much more. I’ll be making some book recommendations.
